Director of Digital Strategy, Communications

Aaron Myers guides overall digital strategy for the Institute and leads the organization’s digital team. He oversees outreach using the web, email, social media, online video, and other digital tools. Aaron helps Institute staff find new ways to share their work with a growing online audience.

Before joining the Aspen Institute in 2013, Aaron served as Director of New Media for US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the Senate Democratic caucus. Prior to working in government, Aaron directed online projects for a variety of private sector, political, and labor groups. He served in senior capacities on the digital teams of four presidential campaigns: Al Gore (1999-2000), John Edwards (2002-2004 and 2006-2008), and John Kerry (2004). In 2008, Aaron was Director of Online Communications for the Democratic National Convention in Denver. He graduated from the George Washington University in 2000 with a BA in political communication.
