Amina Akhtar is a Digital Associate and Producer for the communications team, focusing on social media and hosting the Aspen Insight podcast. Prior to joining The Aspen Institute in 2019, she worked on National Geographic Channel’s in-house production team. In 2018, she served as a creative resident for DC Mayor Muriel Bowser’s 202 Creates Program.
Amina, who is Pakistani-American and grew up abroad in Saudi Arabia, loves to travel and further her knowledge of other cultures. Outside of work you can find her sneaking pieces of food to her dog, Kimber, under the table. She is a graduate of George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs.
