Kathryn Alvarez serves as Associate Director for Administration at the Future of Work Initiative. Prior to her role at the Aspen Institute, she served as Senior Advisor to the Chief of Staff at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under Secretary Sylvia Burwell. She also served at the Department of the Treasury in the Office of Legislative Affairs and in the Office of the Executive Secretary during the Obama Administration.

She holds a BA from American University in Washington, DC.
