Vivian Vázquez is a Research Assistant for the Economic Opportunities Program’s Workforce Strategies Initiative.

Vivian Vázquez is a Research Assistant for the Economic Opportunities Program’s Workforce Strategies Initiative. In this role she provides research support to EOP’s projects. Vivian is particularly interested in research related to the importance of positive early career experiences for young adults, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Prior to joining the Institute in September 2018, she contributed to various research projects including studying the effects of immigration status on work, the experiences of disabled individuals in the federal workforce, immigrant-native relations, and workforce development. Vivian researches the impact of various immigration status and their impacts on worker outcomes, such as labor protection violations and claims-making, as a Worker Institute Fellow at Cornell University’s ILR School. She attained a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations in 2018 from Cornell University. In her free time, she likes to knit, bake, and travel Latin America.
